At or above 40°C, hot water can disrupt skin’s natural moisture barrier, but hot water systems in Canada are set at 49°C. Because there’s nothing in the shower to warn you, Dove created a heat-sensing label for its body wash that optically transformed when exposed to water temperatures deemed unsafe for skin.
